Umsikie Ras Nas kwenye BBC wiki hii

This week, popular presenter Mark Coles of the BBC World Service ‘The Beat’ program introduces a new talent, Ras Nas aka Nasibu, a Tanzanian poet and musician based in Norway. Ras Nas has already shared the stage with some pretty big names- Lou Reed, Van Morrison and Bob Dylan to name just three. He sings in a mix of Kiswahili and English and his band is made up of musicians from Ivory Coast, Congo, Norway and USA.

Ras Nas talks about his latest CD “Dar-Es-Salaam”. The CD, produced under KonPro label, has received good reception by both the press and radio stations.

You can hear the whole program, which also includes interviews with Wycleaf Jean and Zoe Rahman, by clicking here:http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/programmes/the_beat.shtml
