Wadau, wiki iliyopita nilikuwa kwenye mchezo wa kuigiza (tamthiliya)hapa Boston. Tulicheza May 7-9. Show ya mwisho ilijaa watazamaji mpaka ilibidi wengine wasimame. Show inahusu kipindi cha Harlem Renaissance miaka ya 1920-39. Ni kipindi ambacho wasanii waMarekani weusi walistawi Marekani na Ulaya.
Kabla sijavaa costume. Kwenye mchezo mimi niliigiza kama Mama, Bibi na Ms. Thelma.Joe Banks (Steve Lucky) na Mwongoza mchezo Lee Smith wakitaniana

Ona nilivyokuwa tajiri kwenye mchezo, binti Sidney ananiibia.

Ms. Thelma (Mimi) na Joe the Bartender (Charles Jackson). Kwenye mchezo Joe anampenda Ms. Thelma lakini namkataa halafu baadaye namkubali.
"Mko Tayari!" Mwongoza mchezo Lee Smith na msaisdizi, Stanley Everett (Weldon Johnson) wakihakisha wachezaji wako tayari.

Mimi na Lee Smith (Hapo nimevaa costume ya kwanza. Mimi ni mtumwa na tunafanyakazi shambani, halafu ghafla mwanangu wa kike anachukuliwa kwenda kubakwa, naishia kulia na kuzuiliwa kwenda kumfuata mwanangu)

Costume yangu kwenye scenes za mwisho. Ms. Thelma amekubali kufunga ndoa na Joe.

Wakati huo nilikuwa mdogo hata kiingereza kusoma sijui vizuri Mama ananiambia umeona article ya Dada Chemi. Humwoni akienda pale kwa Kadete enzi hizo tuko Ubungo flats. Hongera Dada Chemi sisi tunaiga tuu lakini nyinyi ni malegend.
