Many of you are aware of the upcoming 2nd convention of Tanzanians in the American Diaspora which will be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota on July 1 – 4, 2010 at Minneapolis Marriott City Center. This is a special invitation to you and friends of Diaspora Council of Tanzanians in America (DICOTA). Please encourage your partner and friends to participate as well.
The convention brings together members of the Tanzanian Diaspora in USA, Tanzanian private sector and government officials; key decision makers from U.S. businesses; financial institutions, and international organizations with vested interest in investment and growth in the country.
The theme of the conference this year is “Unleashing the Diaspora Potential” and it focuses on key economic sectors in Tanzania including agriculture, energy, mining, tourism, Technology and human security. DICOTA’s goal is to exchange ideas, best practice and debate issues with inter governmental agencies and organizations, and to strive to be a catalyst for the establishment of even better cooperation (Economic, Cultural, Education, Technology, Social Services, and Sports) between the United States of America and Tanzania. DICOTA is dedicated to the virtuous cycle of wealth creation and economic development of Tanzania and America. To accomplish this goal, DICOTA will engage in investment, job creation, or development projects.
