ReplyDeleteMore than 1 million civilians fled their homes and untold numbers were killed in the power struggle between the two rivals that threatened to re-ignite a civil war in the world's largest cocoa producer. Gbagbo's security forces have been accused of using cannons, 60 mm mortars and 50-caliber machine guns to mow down opponents during the standoff.
ReplyDeleteHizo picha za Before & After, DUUUH!
ReplyDeleteWhen i read opinions of individuals who even contemplate showing any sort of sympathy for despots like gbagbo,i lose hope in my continent. completely. No wonder dictators like mugabe find people amongst us to serenade them as if they represent any sort of progress that will set us free from this darkness.misplaced sentimentalism has no place in a continent that seeks to build strong foundations for the future where rule of law, respect of electoral process and human rights as whole are the norm rather than the expception (and even then, after much bloodshed).
ReplyDeletethere are no "imperialists" other than than our own demented power-clingers!
