Asubuhi kijana hakuamka, alipelekwa hospitalini na huko walithibitisha kuwa kijana kaaga dunia. Kifo chake ni pigo kuwa sana kwa familia ya Njoroge, alikuwa mtoto wa kiume pekee wa Pastor Njoroge.

LOS ANGELES, CA_ Waiyaki Joel Njoroge, the son of a renowned Kenyan Scholar and pastor, Rev. Dr. Joe Njoroge and Rev. Wambui Njoroge of Tifton Georgia, has passed at a young age of 24.
According to news reaching Ajabu Africa, the younger Njoroge passed away last Saturday morning in Los Angeles, CA in an apartment they shared with roommates.
Sources said that after spending a social night in their apartment on Friday, friends and room mates found the late Njoroge unresponsive in his bed on early Saturday morning upon which they immidiately alerted emergency crews.
However, as the emergency crews shortly arrived and administered first aid on the late Njoroge, he still appread unrespponsive and was declared dead on arrival at a hospital.
The cause of the death was not immidiately clear.
The late Njoroge was the elder brother to Anne Wanjiru Njoroge.
Family sources said that the body of the late Njoroge is still lying at the Los Angeles County Morgue awaiting travel plans for burial in Tifton, Georgia where the family resides.
The death has shocked family and friends across the US.
Well known in the Kenyan Diaspora community, the young Njoroge’s father, Dr. Joe Njoroge is a former national President of Kenya Christian Fellowship in America (KCFA) who for 8 years, played a crucial role in building KCFA to the large organization it currently is.
Under Dr. Njoroge’s watch, KCFA grew to encompass twenty two local chapters that span the continental U.S., and one chapter in Canada .Attendance to the KCFA’s annual conference also increased from about 120 to more than 1,000 Kenyans and friends during his watch.
He has been a common fixture at community events all over the USA. The cleric has also attended many events in New England either preaching the word of God or taking part in various social events including weddings.
Last summer while in Boston, Dr. Njoroge and his wife, Rev. Wambui Njoroge were both awarded an Ajabu African Award in recognition of their contribution to the Body of Christ and the Kenyan Community in Diaspora.
Later in the fall of 2010, the couple also attended a book launching ceremony for the first ever bible question and answer book by a Kenyan pastor, Rev. Ben Njuru of the Gospel Power Center in Worcester Mass.
Early this year, Dr. Njoroge and his wife were back to Boston again to conduct a couple's seminar at the Christ is the Answer Church in North Chelmsford.
Currently, Dr. Njoroge is the Chairman of the KCFA Board of Trustees and his wife, Rev. Wambui Njoroge is the Director of the KCFA Women Ministry.
Dr. Njoroge is also Chair of the Department of History & Political Science, and a Professor of Political Science & Religion at Abraham Baldwin State College, a division of the University System of Georgia .
“We are totally shocked by the death of Dr. Njoroge’s only son. It’s very painful”, said Pastor Jackson Kingori of NEEMA Gospel Church, Richardson, TX.
“All we can do right now is support the family of Dr. Njoroge and his wife who have been very instrumental in the Kenyan Community in the USA. Let us support them with funds and prayers now that they need our support”, he added while speaking to Ajabu Africa on a telephone interview.
Pastor Kingori added that the cause of the death has not yet been disclosed by the medical examiner and that Dr. Njoroge and his wife arrived in Los Angeles yesterday to get details.
Speaking to Ajabu Africa, Pastor John Wachira of the Christ is the Answer church based in North Chelmsford, Massachusetts, said that it was the death of Pastor Njoroge's son was very saddening.
He said that several pastors have met in Lowell and have planned to send a small party to Georgia to lend support and attend the funeral.
"Dr. Njoroge and his wife are our friends and are people of God. Right now we have to pray for them and encourage them go through this difficult time", said Pastor Wachira.

A prayer service and burial fundraiser has been scheduled to take place this Thursday July 14th at 7pm at the Believers Cerebration Centre located at 1492 Roswell Road, Marietta GA. 30062.
A funeral organizing committee hurriedly convened to coordinate the burial has also scheduled a Memorial Service to take place this Friday July 15th at 7pm at The Kenya American Community Church (KACC), 771 Elberta Drive, Marietta Georgia, 30066.
A final Funeral Service will be held on Saturday July 16th, 2011 at 1:00pm at the Albritton Beaumont Funeral Home 10020 North Tift Avenue, Tifton, GA 31794
