Nafasi ya Kazi Shinyanga - LIbrarian

Earth Sciences Institute of Shinyanga (ESIS) is a Private Technical Institute licensed by the National Council for Technical Education of Tanzania (NACTE) with Reg. No REG/EOS/041 to offer Exploration and Mining Geology plus Petroleum Geosciences courses at Basic Certificate and Diploma level.
ESIS’s head office is located at Ndala in Shinyanga Municipality while classes and dormitories are currently located within the mining premises of Williamson Diamond Limited in Mwadui Shinyanga.

  2. Department: Geology
  3. Report to: Head of Geology Department

Qualities, Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Posses a certificate or diploma in library and documentation from a accredited institute
  2. Able to mentor and inspire students
  3. Posses training skills
  4. Knowledge of customer care
  5. Knowledge of ms excel and access database
  6. Team player and self motivated
  7. Transparent and trustworthy person
  8. Able to work under high pressure and long hours

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Facilitate orientation to staffs and students on library usage
  2. Checkin and checkout library users
  3. Allow library users to only use library materials
  4. To ensure that only qualified library users are allowed to use the library services
  5. Ensure that the library windows and doors are closed at the end of its service
  6. Selecting, developing, cataloging and classifying library resources
  7. Filling the books cards, shelving books and recording daily statistics
  8. Providing library service to library users including responding to inquiries, educating, creating and inducing books reading behaviors
  9. Assist student in searching book/website references online
  10. Instructing, guiding and inspiring library users on library effective and proper usage
  11. To ensure that the library structure, resources and its environments are always clean, neat and secure 
  12. To prepare and keep record of library users. 
  13. Design and maintain orientation and library usability material
  14. Participate in curricula reviews and development process
  15. Evaluate, promote the emerging technologies that fosters reading behaviors among library users
  16. Understanding copyright, fair use, and licensing of intellectual property, and assisting users with their understanding and observance of the same
  17. Submit to the supervisor and maintain the improved library usage code
  18. Supervise library staffs/volunteers under his/her command
  19. Prepare and submit to the supervisor a library analytical and substantiated budget proposal
  20. Advice the supervisor on important issues that need college attention
  21. Report all irregularities in library and its surroundings like theft, student behaviors, special needs and library code misconduct etc
  22. To prepare submit a library administration report to the Head of Department (Geology) each month
  23. To carry out any other duties as may be assigned by his/her supervisor.

Rais Kikwete Atembelea Maktaba ya Rais Mstaafu wa USA George W. Bush

Rais Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete na Mama Salma Kikwete wakitembelea Maktaba ya Kirais ya Rais Bush (Bush Presidential Library) iliyo katika Taasisi ya Bush (George W. Bush Institute) mjini Dallas, Texas, na kujionea nafasi kubwa iliyotolewa kwa Tanzania na zawadi ambazo Rais Bush alizipata katika ziara yake rasmi ya Tanzania wakati akiwa Rais wa Marekani. 
Maktaba hiyo ya kuvutia inaendeshwa kwa teknolojia ya kisasa kabisa ya habari na mawasiliano. Rais Kikwete alikuwa amesimama mjini Dallas kwa muda akiwa njiani kutoka Washington D.C., kwenda Houston, jimbo hilo hilo la Texas kuhudhuria mkutano wa wafanyabiashara wa mafuta na gesi ambao wanataka kuwekeza katika sekta hiyo katika Tanzania.

George W. Bush Library (Maktaba) - Utani

Wadau ilibidi niposti hii. Ni utani lakini inachekesha kweli.

Dear Fellow Constituent:

The George W. Bush Presidential Library is now in the planning stages and accepting donations.

The Library will include:
The Hurricane Katrina Room , which is still under construction.
The Alberto Gonzales Room, where you won't be able to remember anything.
The Texas Air National Guard Room, where you don't even have to show up.
The Walter Reed Hospital Room, where they don't let you in.
The Guantanamo Bay Room, where they don't let you out.
The Weapons of Mass Destruction Room, which no one has been able to find.
The National Debt Room, which is huge and has no ceiling
The Economy Room, which is in the toilet.
The Iraq War Room. (After you complete your first visit, they make you to go back for a second, third, fourth, and sometimes fifth visit.
The Dick Cheney Room, in the famous undisclosed location, complete with shotgun gallery.
The Environmental Conservation Room, still empty.
The Supreme Gift Shop, where you can buy an election.
The Airport Men's Room, where you can meet some of your favorite Republican Senators.
The Decider Room, complete with dart board, magic 8-ball, Ouija board, dice, coins, and straws.
Note: The library will feature an electron microscope to help you locate and view the President's accomplishments.

The library will be richly decorated with inscriptions of quotations from Mr. Bush's public appearances:
