AND HE STILL STANDS TALL... God's grace and peace upon this man is my prayer, and I pray that before the end of his term, people's heart, mind, and eyes will open.

There will never be another like him.

May he lead and be guided in the way God would want him to lead and guide.

He is not perfect and has never claimed to be.

He and this whole country is in need of our prayers.

It only takes a spark.

NO President has ever worked this hard for our country.

Many wonder, does he ever sleep??

Only God can sustain such energy, knowledge, and person.

Please let us form a powerful prayer chain around our President and his family and ask God to secure it with love, protection, mercy and grace.

Wadau, leo waMarekani wanapiga kura katika Uchaguzi wa Rais.  Wagombea ni Rais Barack Obama kutoka chama cha Democrats na  Gov. Mitt Romney kutoka Chama cha Republican. Romney ni tajiri kupindukia na wanasema atakuwa rais tajrii kulio marais wote walioongoza Marekani!

Gov. Romney alikuwa Gavana wetu hapa Massachusetts na hakuwa Gavana mzuri.  Alichotaka ni cheo tu cha Ugavana ili aweze kugomgea urais.  Hata hakugombea ugavana mara ya pili kwa vile alipata alichotaka. Pia alivyokuwa Gavana alikuwa anasafiri sana na kuwa likizo mara kwa mara. Tulikuwa tunamwita Absentee Governor, yaani gavana ambaye hayupo.  Enzi za Romney nilipoteza kazi yangu kwa vile kazi zilipelekwa India.  Sijui hiyo kazi anayosema atawaletea wananchi zitatoka wapi. Labda kazi za kuosha magari yake na kusafisha nyumba zake.  Maana huyo Romney ndiye mpenzi wa kusafirisha kazi India na nchi zingine ambako watu wanalipwa hela ndogo.  Mtaona kwenye matokeo kuwa Massachusetts inamchagua Rais Obama.

Wadau, ubagauzi bado upo mwingi hapa Marekani. Yaani kuna wazungu ambao wanampigia kura Romney kwa vile ni mzungu bila kujali ubovu wake.

Mimi binafsi ninaomba Rais Barack Obama ashinde.  Atuongoze miaka minne zaidi. Aliposhika urais tulikuwa katika hali mbaya sana ...asante uongozi mbovu wa Raisi George Bush Jr. wa miaka minane. Bush Jr. aliobomoa hii nchi hasa kwa kuanzisha vita Iraq!  Rais Obama anaijenga nchi tena. Amefanya kazi nzuri ila kwa vile ni mweusi watu hawataki kutambua mafanikio yake.  Yaania Rais Obama anatahili kuwekwa Mt. Rushmore, lakini  hawataki kwa vile ni mweusi!

Haya wadau, huenda jioni tutajua mshindi ni nani, lakini wengine wanasema huenda uchaguzi huu ukawa na mushkeri nyingi na hatatjua kwa wiki kadhaa ikibidi kura zihesabike tena.

New U.S. Ambassador to Tanzania

President Obama Names Alfonso Lenhardt as U.S. Ambassador to the United
Republic of Tanzania

Yesterday, President Barack Obama names the Honorable Alfonso E.
Lenhardt as his Ambassador-designate to the United Republic of Tanzania.
Under the U.S. system of government, the President appoints Ambassadors
by and with the advice and consent of the United States Senate. =20

Since May 2004, Ambassador-designate Lenhardt has been the President and
CEO of the non-profit National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC). He was
also Senior Vice President of Government Relations for The Shaw Group.
On September 4, 2001, Ambassador-designate Lenhardt was appointed the
36th Sergeant-at-Arms of the United States Senate and became the first
African-American to serve as an officer of the Congress. He also served
as the executive vice president and chief operating officer of the
Council on Foundations.

Ambassador-designate Lenhardt retired from the U.S. Army in August 1997
as a Major General with more than 30 years of service in leadership and
management positions. His last position with the Army was Commanding
General, U.S. Army Recruiting Command, at Fort Knox, KY, where he
managed and directed an organization of more than 13,000 people in over
1,800 locations. He also served as the senior military police officer
for all police operations and security matters throughout the Army's
worldwide sphere of influence.

Ambassador-designate Lenhardt was born in New York City and holds a
Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of
Nebraska, a Master of Arts in Public Administration from Central
Michigan University, and a Master of Science in the Administration of
Justice from Wichita State University. He is also a graduate of the
94th Session of the FBI National Academy; the United States Army
Criminal Investigations Supervisors' program, and the National War
College, National Defense University.

About the Ambassadorial appointment of Lenhardt and others, President
Obama said, "Americans will be fortunate to have these distinguished men
and women as their representatives abroad. Their talent, experience,
and dedication will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen America's
partnerships around the world and confront the challenges of the 21st
century. I am grateful for their service and look forward to working
with each of them."

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Police arrested a man near the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday after he drove up to one of the building's barricades with a rifle in his vehicle and told officers that he had a delivery for President Obama, a Senate spokesman said.

A man drove to the Capitol with a rifle and said he had a delivery for President Obama, police said.

Sgt. Kimberly Schneider identified the man as Alfred Brock, 64, of Winnfield, Louisiana. She said Brock was charged with possession of an unregistered firearm and unregistered ammunition.

Brock drove up to the north barricade at the Capitol late Tuesday afternoon, saying he had a delivery for the president, Schneider said.

After further questioning, he admitted he had a rifle in his truck. He was arrested and taken to police headquarters for processing, she said.

A search of his truck turned up several rounds of ammunition, Schneider said. Police also checked the area around the barricade, but found nothing hazardous.

Threats against Obama have led to arrests in previous cases.

In one, federal prosecutors concluded that three people arrested with drugs and weapons in a suburban Denver, Colorado, motel posed a "true threat" to Obama during the Democratic National Convention.

In the second, a Florida man was charged with threatening bodily harm against the then-candidate in August. He has pleaded not guilty.

US, Tanzania Leaders Discuss Malaria

U.S. President George Bush and Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete met Friday at the White House to talk about fighting malaria. VOA White House Correspondent Scott Stearns has the story.

President Bush's malaria initiative has reached some 25 million people in Sub-Saharan Africa over the last three years.

Nowhere has it had a more dramatic impact than on the Indian Ocean island of Zanzibar, where insecticide-treated bed nets and indoor spraying have reduced malaria's incidence from about 20 percent of the population to just one percent.

Zanzibar is part of Tanzania, and President Kikwete thanked President Bush for America's help in curbing malaria on the island, as well as working to confront the disease on the mainland.

"Of course, our biggest challenge now with Zanzibar is how to sustain that success, because only [30 kilometers] away on the mainland, in Dar es Salaam, malaria is still there," he said. "So, if people go to Zanzibar with malaria, then the problem is there."

At least one million infants and children under five die from malaria each year in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Fighting the disease was a big focus of the president's trip to Africa earlier this year, when he met with President Kikwete at State House in Dar es Salaam.

Speaking to reporters following their Oval Office meeting Friday, President Bush again thanked President Kikwete for his hospitality, and praised his determination to use foreign assistance wisely.

"I am confident in saying to the American people that your money is being spent wisely and compassionately in Tanzania, and a lot of it has to do with the leadership of the president," said the U.S. president. "He stood up and said, 'We've got a problem, and I'm going to take the lead.' And his government has been responsive to the needs of the people."

The president's malaria initiative is spending more than $1 billion over five years to cut malaria deaths by half in 15 African countries.

During their White House talks, President Bush and President Kikwete also discussed efforts to resolve political divisions in Zimbabwe and end the violence in Sudan's troubled Darfur region.

President Kikwete has been involved in both efforts in his role as the current chairman of the African Union.
