Nimepata kwa email, lakini hii kali! Mambo ya ushirikina yataisha lini!!!!
*************************************************************
Dear Friends:

[Updated at 10:54 a.m. ET] House Speaker John Boehner renewed calls to reverse the Obama administration's signature health care overhaul after Thursday's Supreme Court decision upholding the act, saying the decision "underscores the urgency of repealing this harmful law in its entirety."
[Updated at 10:52 a.m. ET] House minority leader Nancy Pelosi declared the court's ruling a "victory for the American people."
"With this ruling, Americans will benefit from critical patient protections, lower costs for the middle class, more coverage for families, and greater accountability for the insurance industry," she said.
Pelosi further said that the Affordable Healthcare Act will prevent children from being denied coverage for pre-existing conditions, lower drug costs for seniors and allow students and young adults to stay on their parents’ plan.
“In passing health reform, we made history for our nation and progress for the American people," Pelosi said. "We completed the unfinished business of our society and strengthened the character of our country. We ensured health care would be a right for all, not a privilege for the few."

Slave Shoe Sneakers/ Raba za Kitumwa!
Jamani hata haya hawana!
To Adidas:
I am horrified at the design of this shoes. As an African American this is an insult to us. Why? Our ancestors were not considered human, they were chained and shackled, beaten. Today, the legacy continues as blacks disproportionately make up a large number of the prison population. ORANGE is a prison color! They wear chains and shackles in there. So this must be some kind on subtle conditioning technique! Shame on Adidas! I will never buy anything labelled Adidas ever again.

Mimi Katika Sinema That's My Boy
Wadau katika Sinema That's My Boy, ambayo imetoka kwenye theaters wiki hii, mimi nilikuwa Stand In wa Luenell ambaye anaigiza katika hii sinema kama Champale ambaye ni Stripper (mvuo nguo).

Fina Mango is Back!
Fina Mango |
Although she has been out of the limelight for a couple of years now, Fina Mango, remains one of the familiar faces and names in Tanzania. For many folks, she used to be their every morning “ritual” when, together with Masoud Kipanya; they used to run one of the most listened to morning radio shows in Tanzania (Power Breakfast on Clouds FM). Then it all ended in July 2008…as sad as it was.
As it turns out, Fina left the radio but the radio never left her, at least not to her fans. We have been asked thousands of times about her whereabouts and whether she is coming back to the airwaves anytime soon. Her listeners miss her insight and most likely her voice.
The good news, as you are about to read, is that Fina has been busy building an empire of herself in just a different way. She is now the Managing Director of one of the fastest growing and respected PR Company called 1Plus Communications.
To catch up with her and for the benefits of the fans that have never stopped asking about her, I tracked Fina for an exclusive interview whereby we talked much about how and where she has been all this time and her journey into entrepreneurship.

Court orders Lulu’s lawyers to Provide proof on her Age
Monday, 11 June 2012
By Rosina John
The Citizen Correspondent
Dar es Salaam. The High Court in Dar es Salaam yesterday ordered defence lawyers of movie actress Elizabeth Michael alias Lulu to present documents supporting their claim she is under the age of 18.Judge Fauz Twaibu ordered the defence lawyers to present the evidence and supporting documents by way of affidavit on June 13.
Lulu is charged at the Kisutu Resident Magistrate’s Court with murdering local movie star Steven Kanumba on April 7, this year, at Sinza Vatican.
Defence counsel led by advocate Peter Kibatala filed the application at the High Court seeking the determination of the accused’s age. The lawyers stated that Lulu has not attained the age of 18 years to merit prosecution in an adult court.
The application by Mr Kibatara followed a decision by the lower court to turn down their request to transfer the murder case to a juvenile court on the ground that the lower court lacked jurisdiction to entertain the matter. However, in his ruling yesterday, Judge Twaib quashed and set aside the decision by the resident magistrate’s court to refuse to entertain the application, saying it was an error in law and an abdication of duty.
“Consequently, I hold that the lower court was wrong to refuse to entertain the application, thinking that such an enquiry could only be done by this court.
I quash and set aside the decision of the Kisutu Court,” the judge ruled.
The judge said that, considering the seriousness of the charge facing the applicant and the urgency of determining whether or not the applicant is entitled to the benefits of the Child Act and in the interest of justice, the court is invoking its supervisory powers under Section 44 of the Magistrate’s Court Act and shall proceed to determine the correct age of the applicant in terms of Section 113 of the Child Act.
The judge said that the nature and seriousness of the charge facing the applicant, the lack of any possibility for securing bail, during the pendency of the charge and undisputed urgency of the matter require that the controversy about her age be determined the soonest.
He further ruled that, in the meantime, the proceedings of the murder case at the lower court should stay, pending determination of the applicant’s age in the High Court. The judge ordered the applicant’s counsel to produce evidence on their client’s age on June 13 while prosecution required submitting their reply on June 20 while the hearing would be on June 25.

Kenyan minister's death in helicopter crash fuels terrorism fears
The Late Honourable George Saitoti 1945-2012 |
The architect of Kenya's military campaign in Somalia and a leading
presidential candidate for next year's election has died in a helicopter
crash in the hills outside the capital, Nairobi.
The Internal Security Minister, George Saitoti, and at least five of
his colleagues died when the police helicopter they were travelling in
crashed on the outskirts of the city. Authorities are investigating the
cause of the crash, which comes at a time when Kenya is on high alert
for terrorist attacks. "As we speak now, nobody knows the cause of the
accident," the Prime Minister Raila Odinga said yesterday.
Mr Saitoti pushed for Kenya's intervention last year in neighbouring Somalia. Since then, there has been a spate of grenade attacks blamed by police on supporters of the Somali militant group al-Shabaab. One person was killed and dozens were injured last month in a firebomb attack on a Nairobi shopping centre that has been linked to al-Shabaab. The Islamist group has threatened an attack against a major Kenyan target in the coming month.
Mr Saitoti, 66, was one of the country's most prominent politicians, a veteran of the authoritarian government of Daniel Arap Moi. Mr Saitoti had been Vice-President and held several ministries.
He was implicated in the country's largest corruption scandal, the Goldenberg affair, in which billions of dollars of public money were stolen as part of a gold export scheme.
After a period of political exile he returned to the cabinet under the current President Mwai Kibaki, whose administration was revealed by its own anti-corruption tsar, John Githongo, to be involved in similar grand corruption schemes.
An unusual figure in senior Kenyan politics, Mr Saitoti had a mixed background from the Masai and Kikuyu tribes. His sudden death nine months before a crucial election in East Africa's biggest economy may force a reorganisation of alliances in a campaign set to be dominated by the rivalry of Mr Odinga and the former Finance Minister Uhuru Kenyatta, the son of Jomo Kenyatta, Kenya's first president.

County around 1 a.m., said investigator Brent Rowan. The pastor and his
daughter were arguing over whether she could go to a party when Dollar
"got physical" with her, leaving her with "superficial injuries," Rowan
said.

Megachurch Pastor Creflo Dollar Arrested.
Creflo Dollar Police Mugshot |
ATLANTA—Megachurch pastor and televangelist Creflo Dollar -- who has drawn scrutiny for his flashy lifestyle and preaching that prosperity is good -- was arrested early Friday after authorities say he slightly hurt his 15-year-old daughter in a fight at his metro Atlanta home.
The 15-year-old was the one who called authorities, and her 19-year-old sister corroborated the story, Rowan said.
Dollar faces misdemeanor charges of simple battery and cruelty to children. He bonded out of Fayette County jail Friday morning.
"As
a father I love my children and I always have their best interest at
heart at all times, and I would never use my hand to ever cause bodily
harm to my children," Dollar said in a statement released by his lawyer
Nikki Bonner. "The facts in this case will be handled privately to
further protect my children. My family thanks you for your prayers and
continued support."
Dollar
will make no further comments since he's involved in the ongoing
criminal matter, but he is expected to preach Sunday, Bonner said.
The
50-year-old leads the Creflo Dollar Ministries and is the pastor for
World Changers Church International in the Atlanta suburb of College
Park, which serves nearly 30,000 members, according to the church's
website. World Changers Church-New York hosts over 6,000 worshippers
each week, the website says. Four satellite churches are located in
Georgia along with others in Los Angeles, Indianapolis, Washington,
Cleveland, Dallas and Houston.
He and his wife Taffi, a co-pastor at the church, have five children, according to the website.
