Atapelekwa Marekani kutibiwa?

Yahoo news has recently posted the picture by Andrea Comas with above with the following caption "A U.S. soldier (L) from the Second Stryker Cavalry Regiment helps a wounded Iraqi soldier at the site where an explosive device went of inside a house during security operations in Diyala province August 8, 2008".But if you look carefully on the left shoulder of the injured soldier, you will see a badge with Tanzanian flag.

This has gotten me and other readers puzzled: Did Tanzania sent an Army contingent in Iraq?

If so, what are they doing there?

Who authorised it? Who is footing the bill?

If this is not the case, why should the US or Iraqi army badges with Tanzanian flags?

If Tanzania has an army contingent, then the Government need to tell the people and they should braced themselves for difficult questions. If, Tanzania did not send troops in Iraq, then the Foreign Ministry needs to follow up on this matter with US or Iraq Government on why their are using badges with Tanzanian flags.
