I'm shocked to receive the news of the demise of Madilu System (his real name is Bialu Makese) aka Ramses II or also the Grand Ninja. Indeed Africa has lost a great artist, a great singer, a great musician. Your music will live on. You entertained us in the dance halls, in our living rooms, in our cars while driving. We will miss you Madilu System. Rest In Peace.

As an american I normally would'nt know who Madilu was but my Kenyan friends introduced me to his music. Franco and Madilu were geniuses.
Madilu's album "sans commentaire" was first played to me and i was stunned. To me it was like stumbling on a pot of gold.
Songs like pie mboyo, nzele, Beau souvenir,la fleur du cile, MAMOU(with Franco) and Biya are on my top most favorite list of all time from all all musicians over the world.
I don't understand his lingala lyrics but he touched me. I RELIVED MY DAILY STRESS BY PLAYING HIS SONGS OVER AND OVER .
rest in Peace MADILU
We love you!!!!!!

I am a Ugandan female aged 40 years, I fell in love with Franco's songs since my childhood, hee died. I was consoled with Madilu who I loved dearly, now he is gone too. I will miss both of you, but my love for your songs will never end, although I do not understand a single word. Both of you rest in peace
My name is fLORENCE, A Ugandan. I was saddened by madilu's death and I miss Madilu already. I was shocked to hear his death. It came at a time when I was looking for an Mp3 to have all his songs, as if I knew he will never compose again. We thank the good God for his life and what madilu has left behind. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

I am a Sierra Leonean who has been a fan of Congolese music since the 1960s when Ryco Jazz came to my country.
I don't understand lingala but Congolese music touches me and my friends no other music does.
Franco, Dr Nico and Tabu Ley were initially my favourites...until Madilu easily won my heart.
I was shocked when I chanced upon his death on You Tube where I had visited to listen to Congolese music.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.
It all happen while I was listening to VOA in far away daffour sudan. Nine year after, I am yet to come to terms that this great man is not more. While writing this piece his music is blaring through my music box in my office at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport Lagos Nigeria. Continue to rest in Peace Midu System.
